Harry Lyons (Whatever Happened To)
Hello from San Diego, California
Marital Status: Single
3 Children 8 Grandchildren; Raised two of my children by myself from the time they were in diapers. What a challenge that was.
Present Occupation: Retired
Personal Memories: The senior play
and the cast party at Ms. Davis’s house. Of course one would have to remember
the experiences of growing up with Ken Scobie as your neighbor. Life has been
good…
Most Memorable Teacher(s): Mr. Spitler, Ms. Davis, and Ms. Martin
Been to a lot of places, and have met lots of great folks in my life. After the military, I decided to get a little more education. After that was completed, I went to work for some very large corporations. Throughout my professional career, I have had the opportunity to work, and sometimes live in four Asian, and five European countries. I had the unique opportunity to be one of the first Americans into Mainland China after Nixon opened up the trade agreement. I have always loved getting into the history and culture of every country I have been to...
I raised two children by myself from the time they were in diapers (yes, a mister mom). Trying to juggle parenting and a professional career was quite a chore. Thank God for understanding employers. Kids are now spread from Sacramento to Massachusetts.
I now live on my boat at Shelter Island. I will probably leave for Mexico this fall (November 06), to do some charity work there, and finish out my years.

Hello from San Diego, California.
Lived in: Pacific Beach and Clairemont.. (A loyal native ~)
Raised: a son and a daughter who have given me 3 wonderful grandchildren. (ages 6 to 21)
Whatever happened to is a great question. Lately I've been asking myself that same exact question. Just last week I was saying to a close friend and classmate Linda Martindale Solomon, "Last month you and I were talking about who was making out with who in the Roxy Theater. A couple weeks ago we were talking about our small children. Today we are talking about blood pressure medication." Wow, I still can't believe it's been forty something years? Well, anyway, here's the scoop...
I have been fortunate enough in my life to spend my days doing all the things that I love, care deeply and passionately about: For the past 26 years I have been a member of Delta Theta Chi Sorority. The Sorority is a non-profit fraternal corporation. It's purpose is to promote cultural education, foster personal development and good citizenship, form a nation-wide fellowship, attain a broader outlook, and enjoyment of contact with those of similar purposes and ideals. We contribute to three scholarship funds and actively participate in literacy projects. We work to help support a battered women's shelter, as well as participating in AIDS and Breast Cancer walks. I have been honored to have held the elected offices of Vice President and Educational Director, also chairing several committees along the way, both at chapter and national level. I have been chapter Historian and chairperson of Constitution and By-Laws. I have also worked on numerous committees. We enjoy many fun social events. My daughter, Colleen, is also a member of Delta Theta Chi Sorority, California Omicron Chapter.
Children:Curtis is a senior designer for the Kwikset division of Black and Decker.
Colleen teaches 5th grade at Sequoia Elementary School. (my kids are old)
Hobbies:Designing and creating greeting cards, desktop publishing.
Passions: I spend hours every night talking on the telephone with my gentleman friend who lives 2600 miles from me, education, my computer, art, my computer, music, my computer...

Hello from Campo, California
Married: Garnet
Lived in:
California
Occupation: Retired

Raised:
Two son who have given us two Granddaughters
Favorite
teacher: Harry Anderson
Favorite class: Drafting
My favorite teacher Harry Anderson (P.E). He saw me getting my butt
kicked in front of the school and gave me the athlete of the year award,
or something like that. It was me and Ina Mae Baker.
I remember going to principal Houser and telling him that somebody made a mistake and sent me an invitation to the awards ceremony. The invite didn't say what it was for and most of the students were getting scholarships to M.I.T. and other great schools and I figured I was there for some kind of joke. Finally they announced our awards and I remember my Dad in the audience clapping and I just wanted to get the hell out of there
Well lets
see……..I think I’ll just lose the first 10 years after high school
with a failed marriage,
I was too young ,wild and stoned to remember anything.
It was 1967 when I met this cute little red head (Garnet) that I married
in February of 1968.
I met her at work and followed her around and harassed her until she finally
said yes. (You could harass people in fun back then without being thrown
in jail).
We bought a house in Santee and started our family.
We have two
great sons Randy (34) and Danny (30).
Randy is the family man with two cute little girls. Danny is still sewing
his oats and playing the field. He owns a condo in Santee and Randy and
his family own a beautiful home in Wildomar, CA.
My wife, Garnet, worked at selling cosmetics and valuable sundries.
I worked at selling drugs when I wasn’t cleaning toilets, mopping floors, and
changing light bulbs.
We lived in that little house in Santee for 25 years and then decided to have a
house built in Campo, CA (about 20 miles east of Alpine) to get
away from the hustle and bustle of city life. (Even Santee was getting crowded).
We moved to Campo in 1993.
Garnet worked for over 25 years and retired at age 49. I sold drugs for 27
years and retired at age 51.
We love it up here in the sticks of Campo on our 5 acres with custom home
mostly designed by Garnet.
Garnet is a wonderful seamstress. She loves to sew and make clothes,
purses, and jackets etc. She also enjoys such crafts as making
ceramic and porcelain dolls. Her doll collection is so large that I
have promised to make her a doll house out of a little 1000 sq. ft. cabin on our
property-- right after we hit the lottery.
I have a black thumb, so my flower and vegetable garden projects turn to weed
patches. I have learned to counter the weeds with a riding mower that keeps the
weeds at bay.
I enjoy puttering on the property. I built a 1400 sq. ft. workshop
with lots of tools for woodworking and automotive and have no problem keeping
busy building and destroying stuff when I’m not playing couch potato and
watching TV and drinking beer and tipples.
I am currently in the process of building an outhouse, (I call it a brick you
know what) or cabana for a changing room with toilet and sink close to our small
pool that we also had a hand at building.
I love fishing and RV-ing and Garnet loves to shop and
hang out at Wal-Mart.
All in all I’ve had a wonderful life with a super partner of 35 years. I have
everything I ever dreamed of having and more.
If I cash in tomorrow, I will be a happy camper, but someone will have to come
up and complete my outhouse. (lol)

Julie Peterson Jensen (Whatever Happened To)
Hello from Prescott, Arizona
Julie Peterson Jensen
Widowed in 2002
3 children, 8 grandchildren
Most memorable teacher: Mrs. Makinson was one of my favorites.
I also enjoyed Mr. Dollelly even though he gave me a "D" in Math
and I had to drop drill team. My fault Mr. D.
Most
memorable class(es): My favorite class was Journalism working on the school
newspaper, The Beachcomber, as Art Editor. Mrs. Makinson gave me the opportunity
to be creative with my artwork and photography. Oh, how I loved running around
school taking pictures. I went to the El Cortez one afternoon to interview
Nat King Cole and take his picture. That was very special.
Special accomplishments: Raising three kids!
Present occupation: In 1987 I retired as restaurant manager of Albie's
Beef Inn in Mission Valley. I was at Albie's for 17 years and it was a fun,
wonderful job. In 1992, my husband and I decided to try something different in
our retirement. We worked at the Grand Canyon for 7 months. We stayed there in a
cabin and, since we lived near, we came home 3 nights a week. What a great
experience meeting people from all over the world. After my husband died last
year, I went back to work part time in Prescott at the Family Christian Book
Store. I love my job and it is fun working across the street from the historic
courthouse square.
Personal memories of schooldays: Most of my school memories are wonderful.
The 50's were a great time to be a teenager. My very special friends then and
now are the two Annie's. Ann Garofalo and Ann Greenfield. We all go back to the
Pacific Beach Jr. High days. I can remember sneaking into the drive-in with Ann
Garafalo. We were tucked in the trunk of some ch
